Here are the current 2026 weekly rates for Birchland Cottages.
Now with cottages available year round, your family can enjoy getaways, get outdoors for winter activities like cross country skiing, snow shoeing, snowmobiling and ice fishing.
Prime fishing from May through October on Clear Lake for Small Mouth Bass and Pike. Many Northern Ontario species are found on a number of lakes surrounding Birchland Cottages.
Cottages booking criteria:
Birch Bliss is available by the night or weekly April through November weather permitting.
All other cottages are a 3 night minimum except from the last full week of June until the end of the first full week of September. During the prime time season the cottages are booked by the week Saturday check in after 4pm. to Saturday check out by 10 am.
Activities available at Birchland Cottages:
We have kayaks, paddle boards and a pedal boat that are complimentary for our guests, as well as water activities including a Water Trampoline, inflatable Log Roll and Launch Pad. There are two Horseshoe Pits located next to the playground.
A children’s play area is equipped with a sand box, monkey bars, a swing set ladder and climbing wall to reach the raised, rectangular play fort with tarp canopy and race down the slide. A short walk from your cottage is a sand beach where children can walk in to swim and play.
Birchland Cottages provides a concrete boat launch for our guests. Boat and motor rentals for use use on Clear Lake. Book ahead to to ensure availability. Bring your own boat to access Clear Lake and many other lakes for fishing and water sport activities.
Most cottages have a large private dock complete with a ladder for swimming.

Birchland Cottages: Policies
-Cottages should be left in the same condition as originally found. Any undue or unreasonable cleaning necessary because of the vacationer’s stay will result in a cleaning charge assessment.
–NO SMOKING inside the cottages. Cigarette butt receptacles are provided outside each cottage, as well as throughout the campground..
-The units are furnished by Birchland Cottages. All units are equipped for light housekeeping. * Please bring your own towels. *
-BBQ USEis $20.00 per week per cottage. FIREWOOD is $5.00 per arm bundle and ICE is $5.00 per bag. Please pay at the office then help yourself. * NO firewood is permitted to be brought into the campgrounds to prevent the spread of harmful pests. *
-Kayaks, Paddle Boards & Pedal Boat are complimentary for our guests. Please be courteous and return to the rack after each use for other guests. Boat launching is complimentary for our guests. There is NO LIFEGUARD on duty. Please use a buddy system and do not leave children unsupervised. * Bring LIFEJACKETS. *
Pets Policy
We are pet friendly and welcome you to bring your pet with you during your stay. Cottages must be in the same condition on departures as received on arrival. Birchland Cottages may use all or part of the security deposit to repair any damage caused by the Vacationers and/or pets. A pet cleaning fee of $45.00 is necessary for sanitation because of guests who have pet allergies, which makes it very important to maintain a clean, allergy-free living space. Please keep them off furniture, leashed when outdoors and not left unattended in cottages. “Poop & Scoop” policy in effect.
Payment Policies/Deposit Information
A credit card is required upon check-in for incidentals. If you do not have a valid credit card, a $200.00 damage deposit will be required.
-The deposit covers any damages to the rental property and its furnishings caused by Vacationers and their guests. Birchland Cottages may use all or part of the security deposit to repair any damage caused by the Vacationers and/or pets. Should the damage amount exceed the amount of the deposit, the Vacationer remains liable for the balance. A fee will be charged to Vacationers for failure to return all Rental Property related keys, equipment and cottage property if applicable.
Reservations are NOT fully confirmed until the deposit has been received. The Balance Owing on your Guest Receipt must be paid 60 days prior to your arrival date.
Cancellation Policies
If you need to cancel for any reason after receipt of your reservation, a $50.00 minimum fee cannot be refunded. If cancelling within 30 to 60 days of your stay, we will refund half of your payment. If you cancel 30 days or less prior to your stay, the deposit will be non-refundable.
Parking
All parking is free. One vehicle per campsite. All other Vehicles may park in the Visitors’ lot.
Extra Guests
Guests are required to register at the office. $5.00/guest is required and must park in the Visitors’ Lot.

Miscellaneous
-Quiet Enjoyment. Quiet time is from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Vacationers shall be entitled to the quiet enjoyment of the rental unit. Any disturbance resulting in police action, neighbourhood complaints or any violation of the rules and regulations is considered sufficient cause for immediate termination of your stay with all monies paid forfeited.
-Speed limit is 10 km. Excess speed will not be tolerated.
-Use of Premises. Vacationers will comply with all local laws, ordinances and community rules regarding the use of the premises.
-Failure to adhere to these rules will be considered sufficient cause for immediate termination of your stay and all monies paid will be forfeited.
Garbage
Please dispose of your garbage in the bins up the hill on your way out of the campground. In order to keep animals off-site, please DO NOT LEAVE any garbage outside of the cottages.
Laundry Facilities
-The washing machines and dryer are located in the office building.
-All loads are $4.00 and use loonies only.
Boat Rentals
– Must have a Pleasure Craft Boat License.
– Provide your own Life Jackets.
– Gas Tank must be filled at the end of weekly use.
– 20HP $125 / day & 40HP $150/day
– 20HP $650/week & 40HP $700/week
– Pontoon Boat $250/day

CHECK-IN is 4:00 p.m. or as soon as the cottage is cleaned and ready for our guests.
